The specification of our ZTA fittings is meticulously controlled to ensure peak performance. We offer ZTA liners in various forms, including standard brick shapes, curved tiles, and monolithic sleeves for small-diameter fittings. Our factory can produce ZTA-lined elbows with angles ranging from 15° to 90°, and radius designs from 1.5D to 5D. The wall thickness of the ZTA liner is typically between 6mm and 50mm, depending on the severity of the wear environment. We utilize high-strength structural steel for the outer shell, often choosing Q235B or stainless steel for corrosive environments. Every fitting undergoes a rigorous dimensional check using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure that the internal ceramic alignment is perfect, preventing any "step-wear" at the joints. Our technical team provides full CAD drawings and material certificates for every batch, ensuring compliance with international engineering standards such as ASME and DIN.
Industrial Applications
ZTA pipe fittings are the preferred choice for heavy-duty industries where material impact is a constant threat. In the Mining Industry, they are used for primary crusher discharge chutes and primary slurry lines where large rocks would crack standard alumina. Iron and Steel Plants utilize ZTA in their blast furnace charging systems and sinter transport lines, where heavy abrasive materials are moved at high speeds. In the Power Sector, ZTA is used in pulverized coal pipes near the burners where turbulence is highest. The Chemical Industry benefits from ZTA’s resistance to both mechanical wear and chemical corrosion, particularly in catalyst transport systems. Additionally, ZTA is increasingly found in Dredging Operations, where sand and gravel mixtures cause extreme impact on pipe bends. Because of its high thermal shock resistance, it is also suitable for Foundry Applications where hot sand or slag is transported. Any system dealing with particle sizes greater than 10mm or velocities exceeding 25m/s should consider ZTA as the primary wear-protection solution.
Manufacturing Advantages
- Enhanced Fracture Toughness: The addition of zirconia creates a phase-transformation toughening effect that stops cracks in their tracks.
- Superior Mechanical Strength: ZTA offers significantly higher bending and tensile strength compared to 95% alumina ceramics.
- Longevity in High-Impact Zones: Designed specifically for areas where standard ceramics fail due to brittleness.
- Thermal Shock Resistance: Capable of handling rapid temperature fluctuations common in industrial cleaning or startup cycles.
- Precision Factory Casting: Our factory uses isostatic pressing to ensure uniform density and zero internal voids in the ZTA structure.
- Reduced Maintenance Costs: By extending the replacement cycle, ZTA drastically reduces the "Total Cost of Ownership" (TCO) for pipeline systems.
